Why
buy a Diesel ?
Diesel means power and efficiency. Diesel engines get
30% to 60% more miles per gallon than gasoline engines of equal size.
Diesel engines
are very dirty and smelly!!
Although many
people associate diesel engines with black smoke and smelly exhaust, new
diesels are more efficient and are manufactured with better pollution
control devices. Using bio-diesel only help to improve the environmental
efficiencies more..
What is BIO-DIESEL?
Can be made from a large varitiy of free stocks. What we are using is BIO-DIESEL made from vegetable oil. BIO-DIESEL molecule is a vegetable oil molecule with the glycerol removed. Chemically, BIO-DIESEL is defined as a mono-alkyl ester of vegetable oil.
BIO-DIESEL is NOT the same as raw vegetable oil or straight vegetable oil . Diesel engines actually can operate on straight vegetable oil as a fuel. Rudolf Diesel’s first compression ignition (Diesel) engine introduced in 1895 used peanut oil as its fuel. But don't try this today. modern engines will run, but not very long on oil not prepared for modern diesel engines.

Can I use BIO-DIESEL in my gasoline engine?
No. BIO-DIESEL can only be used as a fuel for diesel engins, Diesel and BIO-DIESEL have properties that are much different from gasoline. As a result, diesel engines operate differently than gasoline engines. [back to top]

What do I have to do to convert my diesel equipment to run on BIODIESEL?
Nothing at all.
BIO-DIESEL is a "pour-and-go" technology that can be used in any diesel
engine application .
Blends of BIO-DIESEL in percentages greater than 20% have a few
precautions that need to be considered.
Consider the following before using BIO-DIESEL blends above b20, up to b100.
Compatibility with
Materials
--BIO-DIESEL is a solvent, and overtime will degrade natural rubber parts
(i.e. hoses and seals) and soft or galvanized metals in a vehicles fuel
delivery system. Generally, natural rubber parts only appear in vehicles
manufactured before 1993. After 1993, most engine manufacturers began
using synthetic rubber or compatible metal parts exclusively. If you are
not sure of the composition of your equipment, check with your Original
Equipment Manufacturer. The following materials are also adversely
affected by higher blends of BIODIESEL: Nitrile, Polypropylene,
Polyvinyl, Tygon, and Fluor silicon, brass, bronze, lead, tin, and zinc.
These components can be replaced with Viton (the industry standard),
Viton GFLT, Viton A401-C, Nylon 6/6 and Teflon.
Cleaning Effect
--Do you have an older diesel vehicle? Petroleum diesel forms sediments
that stick to and accumulate in your fuel tank, forming layers of sludge
over time. BIO-DIESEL will dissolve and clean these deposits from your
fuel tank, fuel line, and engine. Although it is unlikely, material
flushed through your fuel system may clog your fuel filter. You may need
to change your fuel filter one or more times if this occurs. Fuel filter
clogging will not be a problem at subsequent fill-ups.
Cold Flow
-- Like any diesel fuel, BIO-DIESEL can gel at low temperatures, however,
the gel point for 100% BIO-DIESEL is higher than petroleum diesel. No
anti-gel additives have been shown to be effective with b100. As a
result, Zarco66 does not recommend the use of b100 (pure BIO-DIESEL)
below 40 degrees F. During the part of the year when temperatures drop
below 40F, Zarco66 recommends blending at least 80% petrol-diesel in the
tank of the vehicle.

How do BIO-DIESEL’s emissions compare to petroleum diesel’s emissions?
BIO-DIESEL and BIO-DIESEL blends significantly reduce
tailpipe emissions, especially carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, sulfur
dioxide, and particulates (black smoke). Using BIO-DIESEL decreases the
cancer-causing risk of auto exhaust by 94%; B20 reduces this risk by
27%.

Will using BIO-DIESEL void my engine warranty?
According to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory,
“Original Engine Manufacturers (OEM) provide a material and workmanship
warranty on their products. Such warranties do not cover damage caused
by external conditions, such as fuel. Thus, if an engine using
BIO-DIESEL experiences a failure unrelated to the BIO--DIESEL use, it
must
be covered by the OEM’s warranty.
Federal law prohibits the
voiding of a warranty just because BIO-DIESEL was used—it
has to be the cause of the failure. If an engine experiences a failure
caused by BIO-DIESEL (or any other external condition, such as bad
diesel fuel), it will not be covered by the OEM’s warranty.”

What if I need to fuel my vehicle, but
I can not get BIO-DIESEL?
Can I fuel my vehicle with petroleum diesel?
Can I switch back and forth between diesel and BIO-DIESEL?
Yes !!! BIO-DIESEL is the ultimate flexible
fuel, so you can switch back and forth between BIO-DIESEL and petroleum
diesel whenever necessary. Also, you can blend BIO-DIESEL with petroleum
diesel in any percentage.

Is BIO-DIESEL safer to handle and store than petroleum diesel?
YES!! BIO-DIESEL is ten times less toxic than table salt
and biodegrades faster than sugar. The EPA has tested BIO-DIESEL’s
health effects extensively and has classified it as a non-toxic
substance that poses absolutely no threat to human health. BIO-DIESEL
does have a shelf life it should be used 6 months.
